This section will give you the current list of the Cochrane Back Review Group's registered titles, published protocols and published reviews. Each review is linked to the The Cochrane Library, where you can freely access the abstract (scientific summary) and the synopsis (lay summary), where available. However, the full text of the review is only available by subscription or other purchasing agreements.
Some of the reviews have been co-published in other journals, some have been featured in media alerts, and some reviews have been critiqued on a number of occasions – this information is listed where indicated.
If, after reading this section, you wish to participate in the Back Group, visit our Get involved with the Back Review Group page.
CBRG Topic List – list of topics that fall under the scope of the Back Group. Those for which there is already a title registered, or protocol or review published are appropriately identified. The remaining topics are those for which there are no current plans for systematic reviews.
Titles for future reviews that have been agreed upon by the CBRG Editorial Board and registered with the Cochrane Collaboration.
Developing and submitting a protocol is the second step in the publication process. A protocol should give a detailed outline of:
- the population, intervention, comparisons and outcomes you plan to examine
- how you plan to search the literature, select and appraise the methodological quality of relevant articles, and extract and analyze the data.
For more information on how to develop a protocol, go to Publish a Protocol.
A more detailed list of published reviews, including links to abstracts, synopsis (lay summary), other publications and media releases is available on our Published Reviews page. We have added the French abstract and synopsis of reviews published as of Issue 1, 2010. The most recent publication date is also listed.
